Survivor Tales is a television series highlighting the impact of translational research on both human and animal health. The first program features ACL surgery – first perfected on humans – now performed on an 18-month old Yellow Labrador named Buttercup. You’ll be amazed as you watch the entire surgery performed by Dr. Jimi Cook of the University of Missouri.

Filmed on location in Kentucky, Virginia, Colorado, Missouri and California, Majestic follows the breakthrough impact that humane and responsible animal research has had on equine medicine. The video features interviews with the world’s leading equine surgeons and veterinarians, including Dr. Larry Bramlage (Rood and Riddle) and Dr. Wayne McIlwraith (Colorado State University).

The Animal Research Puzzle shows that finding cures and treatments for diseases is a complex puzzle. There are many parts, and animal research is an essential piece. Without it, scientists can’t complete the puzzle.

In the Line of Duty is an animated cartoon series for children, following animal detective heroes of the Global City Police Department as they work to solve dreadful crimes against humanity. In the first episode, Detective Zeke Zebrafish sets his eyes on crime boss Giovanni Infertilitani who is trying to stop good, law-abiding couples from having babies.

Translational Medicine: The Golden Age of Biomedical Research is a full-length, made for television documentary that’s currently in production. We’ve already interviewed some of America’s most noteworthy researchers including Dr. Harold Varmus (Memorial Sloan-Kettering), Dr. Rusty Gage (Salk Institute), Dr. Clive Svendsen (Univ. of Wisconsin), and Dr. Oswald Steward (UCI’s Christopher Reeve-Irvine Research Center).

FBR's Virtual Library is now under construction. Scheduled to be unveiled in 2009, the searchable database will contain thousands of documents pertaining to the history and intersections of animal care, medical progress and animal rights extremism.
