FBR Welcomes Paul McKellips as Vice President

Frankie L. Trull, president of the Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul McKellips to the position of vice president.

McKellips, a media veteran has written, directed and produced five motion pictures and numerous television shows. Since moving to Washington in 2004 he has covered the Pentagon and State Department for television news and worked in Iraq for the past year as a public affairs specialist for the State Department’s Global Outreach Team. McKellips serves on the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmys) and is a member of the National Press Club.

"What makes Paul the ideal fit for FBR, as we continue to expand our public education outreach, is his extensive media relations expertise, his charisma and his boundless energy," said Trull.

Founded in 1981, FBR is the nation’s oldest and largest organization devoted to promoting public understanding, respect and support for humane and responsible animal research. Six Nobel laureates, 13 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, 13 fellows of the National Academy of Sciences, a former Surgeon General and a former Cabinet Secretary serve on its board of directors.
