Survivors comes to Boston

March 05, 2004 – Laboratory research on animals may save your dog or cat's life. That's the message from the Foundation for Biomedical Research, which launched an advertising campaign on Boston buses this week aimed at convincing the public that the value of biomedical research on animals goes beyond the benefits to humans. ``Animal research saves animals, too'' the ad says. The campaign, featuring images of lovable dogs and cats that have survived maladies, is targeted at animal lovers. The goal is to convince them that their pets also benefit from advances in veterinary medicine.
